Aaron Sorkin on directing Steve Jobs film: Not sure yet
Aaron Sorkin is definitely writing the screenplay for the Steve Jobs film based on the best-selling Walter Isaacson biography of Jobs, but the writer is not sure yet if he will try to direct it."I don't know," he tells Zap2it. "Step one is to write the screenplay and we will go from there. I was going to direct 'The Social Network' and we all wanted David Fincher, and [figured] once he passes, I'll direct."
Fincher, of course, did not pass, and the film about the creation of Facebook won three Oscars.
"I am a writer," he says. "And when I write, I want the best direct to director to be directing."
Sorkin is clearly not dismissing the notion of directing, but it's far from a done deal.
