'The Avengers': Seven new photos from the film

"Marvel's The Avengers" is poised to have one of the biggest openings of all time. When the Avengers finally assemble on May 4, we'll get to see The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) battle an alien threat brought about by Loki (Tom Hiddleston).

Now we're getting a brand new look at the big battle scene with seven new stills from EW. We even get a chance to check out a close up of the alien ship. Director Joss Whedon is already generating buzz around his film and critics who got a chance to check out early screenings are singing it's praises.
