Ted Nugent concert at Fort Knox canceled following anti-Obama comments

ted-nugent-face.jpgIt seems that someone has finally found a way to silence Ted Nugent...at least musically.

Just days after Nugent said he'd be "dead or in jail" if President Barack Obama gets re-elected, the "Motor City Madman's" scheduled performance at the Fort Knox military base has been canceled.

A statement on the base's Facebook page says, "After learning of opening act Ted Nugent's recent public comments about the president of the United States, Fort Knox leadership decided to cancel his performance on the installation." The June 23 show will continue for co-headliners REO Speedwagon and Styx.

Nugent's had a rough few days to put it mildly. After his anti-Obama comments became public, he got a visit from the Secret Service as they don't like potentially threatening statements made against government officials. Then, to round it out, he plead guilty to illegally killing a black bear. For this Nugent agreed to pay a $600 fine.
