Nicole Kidman in negotiations to play Grace Kelly in film
Actress Nicole Kidman is in negotiations to play the iconic Grace Kelly in the movie "Grace of Monaco," this according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The film focuses on a six-month period in 1962 when Kelly, as Princess of Monaco, worked behind the scenes to help avert a coup for the tiny city-state. It is set to be directed Olivier Dahan ("La vie en rose").
The indie film, with a reported budget in the $15 million range, is being compared tonally to "The King's Speech." "Grace of Monaco" was written by Arash Amel, who wrote the recently-completely project "The Expatriate," starring Aaron Eckhart and Olga Kurylenko.
