Mega Millions: Pat and Merle Butler of Illinois solve the lottery mystery

The Mega Millions mystery is solved! A husband and wife named Merle and Pat Butler have come forward to claim their prize. The two live in a farming town called Red Bud in Illinois and have won one third of the jackpot. A whopping $218 million share.

The two spent $3 on tickets with the quick-pick method. They are the final piece of the puzzle in the $656 million record setting lottery prize. "I looked [at] my wife, who was right there with me and said, 'We won,'" Merle Butler says, according to CNN. "Then she looked at me funny, and I said, 'No, we won.' She giggled for about four hours, I think."

The couple are retired and most likely about to discover relatives they never knew they had. Two other winning tickets were sold on March 20 in Kansas and Maryland. What would you have done with the money?
