Giuliana Rancic expecting a baby via surrogate

After struggling with infertility issues, a miscarriage and a breast cancer diagnosis, Giuliana Rancic is finally expecting her first child with husband Bill Rancic.

"We are so thrilled that our prayers have been answered," the E! News host and Fashion Police cohost, 37, tells E! News. Bill adds, "We are absolutely ecstatic to be sharing this with everyone who has been following our journey."  

The baby is due in late summer via a gestational surrogate, which means that the "Giuliana & Bill" stars will be the genetic parents.  

"It was one of the best moments of my life, if not the best moment of my life," Giuliana tells Ann Curry on "Today." "It's incredible. We've been trying for so long, we've been through so much ... And to finally get that call from the doctor, it was just another world, another level."  

The couple does know the little one's sex, but Giuliana says, "we're seeing how long we can keep it secret."
