At 'The Avengers' premiere, Joss Whedon is a superhero

"The Avengers" assembled at the world premiere of "Marvel's The Avengers" in Hollywood on April 11 and Zap2it got a chance to hit the red carpet. It was a star studded event and all the major players turned out for Joss Whedon's biggest project.

Joss posed like the superhero his fans know him to be. If his title "King of the Geeks" wasn't a sure thing before, he's certainly going to be given not only a crown, but a cape after this film. The crowd in the theater cheered throughout the film are refused to leave when it was over.

Also on the carpet were Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Clark Gregg (Agent Phil Coulson), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill) and Chris Evans (Captain America).
