Ashley Judd says puffy face criticism is 'hatred of women' and 'hyper-sexualization of society'
Ashley Judd has been in the news recently because she appeared in public with a puffier face than she normally has, which sparks rumors of her recovering from plastic surgery (which would cause swelling).
Judd has fired back, calling it an attack on women. In the above "Today Show" clip, the show previews an interview with Judd airing on "NBC Nightly News" Wednesday evening (April 11).
Judd says of the criticism, "I think that it's hatred of women that invites the criticism. I think it's the objectification of girls and women and this hyper-sexualization of our society that invites this criticism. It doesn't have anything to do with me, really, and how I look. I look too bad, I've had work. I look too good, I've had work."
The full interview airs tonight. What do you think of Judd's firing back at the criticism?
