Angelina Jolie meets with refugees in Ecuador
Fresh off of her engagement celebration in the Galapagos Islands, newly named U.N. special envoy Angelina Jolie headed to Ecuador over the weekend to meet with refugees who had fled due to violence in Colombia, reports E! News.This is the third trip Jolie has made to Ecuador, having visited in her former capacity as a United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees' Goodwill Ambassador.
Jolie's mission was to assess the displacement situation of refugees camped out along the border and report back to U.N. officials. She also met with Ecuador's Foreign Minister, Ricardo Patino, in Ecuador's capital, Quito.
