'Anchorman 2': Plot details revealed?

It's been eight years since Ron Burgundy hit the big screen in "Anchorman." So news hounds and scotch drinkers were giddy when Will Ferrell announced that a sequel to the wildly popular comedy was in the works. But what's the storyline for the new film?

Adam McKay, the co-writer and director of both the original and the sequel, hints in a Salon.com interview that the follow up will involve a nasty fight between Burgundy and Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate).

"I don't want to give away too much," McKay says. "But I'll say one phrase for you: custody battle."

McKay's hints don't stop there. He then goes on to say, "I'll give you one other one: bowling for dollars."

While a custody battle between Burgundy and Corningstone would be tragic (such star-crossed lovers they are), we're tremendously excited about seeing what their spawn looks like. Most importantly, we're wondering what kind of lustrous, yet cinnamon-scented, hair the little Burgundy has.

As for the bowling, we're not exactly sure what to say. But Champ Kind (David Koechner) sure better be involved.
