Alec Baldwin accuses NBC's 'Today' of stalking him, says he's leaving the network
Alec Baldwin is accusing news organizations -- including NBC's "Today" show -- of stalking him to report the story about his alleged stalker, Genevieve Sabourin. To get out his message, the "30 Rock" actor turned to his favorite medium -- Twitter -- and went so far as to say he's "leaving NBC just in time. After "Today" broadcast a Wednesday (April 11) segment from the sidewalk in front of his Manhattan apartment building -- the name of his building was clearly on display in the report -- Baldwin furiously let loose with several irate tweets:
Outside my apt today, along side the other stalkers from the tabloid press, a crew that identified themselves as being with the Today Show.

No one from NBC contacted me until the Today Show arrived at my apt.

A story about stalking sure brings out the stalkers in the media. But, the Today Show?

The television crew camped outside my apt said they were with the Today Show.#howthemightyhavefallen

NBC was reporting on the story about Canadian actress Sabourin, who was charged with stalking and aggravated harassment on Monday after she showed up uninvited at Baldwin's apartment building several times and at his Long Island home. According to Baldwin, she's been sending him disturbing e-mails for several weeks. She's been ordered to stay away from the actor. Baldwin and Sabourin reportedly met 10 years ago on the set of "Pluto Nash" -- Baldwin had a cameo and Sabourin was a publicist.I think I'm leaving NBC just in time.

Baldwin recently became engaged to his 28-year-old girlfriend Hilaria Thomas.
As for the "leaving NBC" comment -- there's no official word on either Baldwin's planned exit from "30 Rock" or the end of the show itself.
