'X Factor': Chris Rene debuts video for 'Young Homie'

While Chris Rene may have only come in third place on "The X Factor," the singer isn't letting defeat slow him down.

The Santa Cruz, CA native has just put out a video for his song "Young Homie." As fans of the show know, Rene performed this tune a number of times on the singing competition.

The video offers a look back at Rene's well-documented struggles with drugs and alcohol while putting out a positive message.

In Jan. 2012, Rene signed on with Epic, the record label run by "X Factor" judge L.A. Reid. He's joined on the label by winner Melanie Amaro, Marcus Canty and Brian "Astro" Bradley.
