Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey thank fans for the congrats on their baby news

The outpouring of well-wishes for Nick Lachey and wife Vanessa began immediately after the singer-turned-reality host announced on "Live with Kelly" Monday (March 5) that the couple is expecting a baby later in 2012.

The pair turned to their Twitter accounts to express their gratitude for all the goodwill with Nick tweeting immediately after his televised announcement, "thanks to everyone for all the well wishes! it means a lot to @VanessaLachey and i.....who's guessing? boy or girl?"

Vanessa, who's dropped her maiden last name of Minnillo in favor of her married name, has already updated her Twitter bio to reflect the good news. She now describes herself as: "Host by day, Wifey by night, Soon-to-be Mommy!!!"

She also tweeted about her upcoming bundle of joy, writing, "Finally, Nick and I are ready to share Our news... We have been Blessed with a little Angel! We can't wait to meet Baby Lachey!!!"

So, like Nick asked: What do you think? Boy or girl?
