Russell Brand arrested for cell phone toss
Bad boy Russell Brand was arrested for taking a paparazzo's phone and tossing it through the window of a law firm. According to TMZ, Brand turned himself into New Orleans police and is currently in their custody. Monday (Mar. 12) night, Brand reportedly became annoyed when a paparazzo took pictures of him on his iPhone. Brand then allegedly took the phone and threw it through a window. He offered to pay for the window and the phone was retrieved, but that wasn't enough.
A warrant was issued for Brand's arrest. Brand tweeted about the incident on March 14, saying, "Since Steve Jobs died, I cannot bear to see anyone use an iPhone irreverently, what I did was a tribute to his memory." So what do you think, Zappers? Is this a bit overboard? Was the paparazzo out of line? Should Brand have been arrested? Give us your thoughts below.
