Robin Gibb undergoes more surgery in cancer battle

robin-gibb-getty.jpgRobin Gibb, the 62-year-old member of the disco era band The Bee Gees, underwent further intestinal surgery on Sunday (March 25) despite making a statement in February that he had made a "spectacular" recovery from colon cancer.

"He is currently recovering in hospital and therefore, for the time-being, all existing commitments prior to the Titanic Requiem concert, have had to be cancelled," reads a statement from Gibb's reps.

Gibbs had been planning to debut his first classical work -- "The Titanic Requiem" -- written with his son, reports Reuters, on April 10 in London.

In February, Gibb said a growth in his colon was "almost gone" and he was feeling "fantastic."
