Rihanna's dad calls her 'fat,' backs Chris Brown

Rihanna's father is part of the problem, not the solution. At least based on some recent comments he's made about his superstar daughter. In a new interview with Heat magazine (via the New York Post), Ronald Fenty calls his gorgeous daughter "fat" and hints that Chris Brown is worthy of a second chance.

"I actually thought she was a little fat the last time I saw her," says Fenty about seeing Rihanna on her last visit to Barbados. "When I saw her at this year's Grammys, I thought she was back to her normal size. I used to joke with her, 'Robyn, you're getting too fat.' But I think she's fine. I think she looked excellent, as everyone saw, at the Grammys. She's dieting, she's working out."

He's also cool with Rihanna's recent collaboration with Brown on a remix of her single "Birthday Cake."

"Chris is a nice guy and everybody's entitled to make mistakes in their life," says Fenty of the guy who was convicted of assaulting his daughter. "God knows how many I've made. She's her own woman now.''

According to the New York Post, Fenty and his famous daughter did not communicate for two years and only started talking to each other again in 2010.
