Lady Gaga without makeup: She was born this way!

Lady Gaga may be on a self-imposed media hiatus, but she's still got Twitter to communicate with all of her fans -- better known as her Little Monsters.

We've grown accustomed to seeing Gaga in outlandish outfits, elaborate hairstyles, creative makeup, and even prosthetic protrusions applied to her face. Nothing can surprise us -- except, perhaps, for a photo of her au naturale.

On Monday morning, Gaga tweeted a self-portrait she snapped with her Blackberry, in which her hair is in a casual ponytail, she's wearing a loose tank, and appears to be makeup free aside from some exaggerated brows. As always, she looks lovely!

It's possible that her media break and natural pics are part of a concerted effort to appear more approachable. If so, it's working -- her tweets about watching Monday's episode of "Drag Race" definitely put us in the "Stars are just like us!" mindset.
