'Harry Potter's' Jamie Waylett jailed on 2-year sentence for rioting

jamie-waylett.jpgBack in October, news broke that "Harry Potter" actor Jamie Waylett -- who played the Slytherin bully Vincent Crabbe in six of the hit films -- was arrested for possession of explosives following the Aug. 8 riots in London. Waylett was caught on camera drinking stolen champagne while holding what appeared to be a Molotov cocktail.

He's had trouble with the law before -- in 2009, Waylett was arrested on suspicion of marijuana possession.

"A considerable amount has been said about what happened over those few days," the judge told Waylett according to BBC News. "Anyone watching the footage in this case can only imagine the mayhem that took place on the streets. You chose to go out on to the streets on what was the third day of the violence... You were pictured on a number of occasions with a bottle full of petrol with a rag as a wick. I accept entirely the jury's verdict that you did not throw or have any intention of throwing it but merely being in possession of it would have been terrifying to anyone who saw you."

Waylett has been sentenced to two years in Azkaban prison but will be eligible for release after one year.
