Dick Van Dyke, 86, marries Arlene Silver, 40-year-old makeup artist

Octogenarian Dick Van Dyke, 86, is a newlywed. The actor tells RumorFix that he and 40-year-old makeup artist Arlene Silver on Leap Day (Feb. 29).

The couple apparently met six years ago at the SAG Awards.

"I was in the green room and she passed through and I was bowled over by her beauty," says Van Dyke.

He then hired Silver to be his personal makeup artist and the rest is apparently romantic history.

"The last couple of years we kind of fell in love," says Van Dyke. "She keeps up with me."

Van Dyke was previously divorced wife Margie Willett in 1984 after 36 years of marriage and a long separation. He lived w ith companion Michelle Triola for more than 30 years until her death in 2009.
