Davy Jones' final recording - 'Shushybye' song for babies and toddlers
Monkees singer Davy Jones passed away Wednesday (Feb. 29) of a heart attack at the age of only 66. Now TMZ has obtained a clip of his final recording, a song for a children's television program called "Shushybye."
"Shushybye" is a program for babies and toddlers featured on BabyFirstTV and Comcast Video on Demand. It features the Shushies, who live in places like Nap Valley and Slumber Heights, and who help kids make a Dream Wish before they go to sleep. The program is centered around music that is also "created for adults to enjoy - while helping introduce children to such popular musical genres as real rock 'n roll, blues, jazz, rhythm & blues, Latin and country!"
Shushybye creator and songwriter Steve Syatt tweets of Davy Jones' passing, "Deeply saddened by the loss of Davy Jones at too young an age. He sang a Shushybye song and I had a memorable recording session with him."
And above is the clip of Jones singing for the show. His song was scheduled to debut in May. It's kind of a fitting last recording - it's so soothing and nice.
RIP Davy.
