Samuel L. Jackson: I voted for Obama 'because he's black'
Every voter has his own reason for choosing a candidate. For Samuel L. Jackson in the 2008 presidential election, that reason was race."I voted for Barack because he was black. 'Cuz that's why other folks vote for other people -- because they look like them," says the "Snakes on a Plane" actor in a new interview with Ebony magazine.
"That's American politics, pure and simple. [The president's] message didn't mean [expletive] to me. In the end, he's a politician. I just hoped he would do some of what he said he was gonna do. I know politicians say [expletive]; they lie. 'Cuz they want to get elected."
Jackson then goes on to refer to Obama with the "N" word several times as he continues to explain why one usually wouldn't get elected.
What do you think? Does Jackson make sense or did he go a little too far?
