Nick Carter will dedicate tour to his late sister, Leslie
Nick Carter is continuing on with his tour, despite the death of his sister Leslie Carter at the age of 25 on Tuesday (Feb. 1). Instead, the singer will dedicate his tour to her. He sent a Facebook message to his fans, letting them know that the show will go on, "as promised.""Performing is cathartic to me and I am dedicating the rest of my tour to my sister since she loved to watch me perform," explained Nick, who will get back onstage Thursday (Feb. 3) night at New York's Irving Plaza. His brother Aaron is expected to take some time off from his run in the Off-Broadway play, "The Fantasticks."
Leslie died in upstate New York and no details have been forthcoming. She leaves behind a husband and 10-month-old baby. In a statement to CBS News, the family said, "Our family is grieving right now and it's a private matter. We are deeply saddened for the loss of our beloved sister, daughter, and granddaughter, Leslie Carter. We request the utmost privacy during this difficult time."
