Meet Ray J: Whitney Houston's on-again, off-again beau

Just two days before Whitney Houston's death, she showed up at a pre-Grammy weekend event with sometimes boyfriend Ray J. According to Radar Online, Houston got into a shouting match with former "X Factor" contestant Stacy Francis when she found Francis talking to Ray J.

"She ran over to them and began screaming, 'This is my man! I'm a cougar!'" a source tells the site.

Ray J -- aka William Ray Norwood -- is likely familiar to fans of reality television as the brother of singer/actress Brandy Norwood, costar of the reality series "Brandy and Ray J: A Family Business" and his own VH1 dating show, "For the Love of Ray J."

The 31-year-old is also the co-star of Kim Kardashian's circa 2003 "leaked" sex tape. Legend has it he texted Kardashian the day she married Kris Humphries with the message, "And to think you really have me to thank for all this ;)."

Ray J and Houston dated off and on starting in 2009 and were apparently back together at the time of her death.
