Marcia Gay Harden files for divorce

After 15 years of marriage, Marcia Gay Harden and Thaddaeus Scheel have filed for divorce.

In a statement to People magazine, their representative says, "For the sake of the couple's three children, Harden would like to request that the family's privacy be respected at this time...No further comments will be made on this matter, and we thank you for your understanding."

The two worked together on the 1996 film "The Spitfire Grill." Harden played the role of Shelby Goddard while Scheel worked in the film's art department. The couple has three children together.

The 52-year-old Harden is an Oscar and Tony winner. She's also twice been nominated for an Emmy.
