Khloe Kardashian assault case: She says it was self-defense

khloe-kardashian-red-hair-getty.jpgReality star Khloe Kardashian is facing an assault-and-battery charge in a case filed by Chantal Spears (aka Ronald Spears), a woman who she allegedly got into an altercation with outside a nightclub in 2009.

Spears is suing for an unspecified amount in general and punitive damages and medical expenses.

But not so fast.

Khloe has finally addressed the suit, according to TMZ. Khloe filed a response at the LA Superior Court, claiming that her reaction to Spears "was reasonably necessary for her self-defense and safety." No word yet on a response from Chantal.
