Kelly Clarkson's National Anthem at Super Bowl 2012: Did she pull it off?

When Christina Aguilera lost track of the lyrics of "Star Spangled Banner" at the 2011 Super Bowl, she was ridiculed for months -- she still gets asked about it, a year later. So there may have been some extra pressure on "American Idol" Season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson when she took to the field after Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert to sing the national anthem.

Rocking a straight, sleek hairstyle with heavy bangs and a simple black dress, Kelly didn't miss a beat -- or a lyric -- in her performance. She was joined by a children's choir (keep your eyes peeled for the adorably over-eager types) as she belted into a microphone covered in red crystals.

The crowd went wild after her performance (though they were at their loudest when the screen showed footage of RCT-5 at Camp Leatherneck in Afghanistan).
