Katy Perry, Russell Brand reach divorce agreement
It ain't over until it's really over, but Katy Perry and Russell Brand have moved one step closer to being divorced and Brand won't be claiming the up to $20 million he could have sought from his soon-to-be-ex.According to papers filed by Brand in Los Angeles on Tuesday (Feb. 7) and obtained by RadarOnline, the couple -- who married in 2010 -- have reached a "comprehensive written settlement of all issues, including, without limitation, with respect to the property to be confirmed or assigned to each party."
Brand, a comedian/actor in his own right, will not be taking any of Perry's estimated $44 million earnings despite the fact that the couple did not have a prenuptial agreement in place.
For her part, the only thing Perry is requesting is to restore her maiden name: Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson. Oh, and she reportedly signed the papers with a smiley face after her name.
