'Jersey Shore's' The Unit is 'Facebook married'

On Thursday (Feb. 9), we caught up with "Jersey Shore" second stringer Jonny "The Unit" Manfre when he paid a visit to the KTLA News Morning Show to talk about his involvement with the fifth season of the MTV reality show.

For those of you not familiar with The Unit: He's "The Situation's" best friend and star witness in Sitch's contention that he and Snooki hooked up at some unspecified point in the past. He's turned up on a few episodes this season and has, to his credit, spun his notoriety into a cottage industry -- club appearances, an official Web site and a self-help eBook.

"[It's about] the GTL generation and it's teaching you about life and how to succeed in anything you want to do," he tells Zap2it.

He also told us about his recent kinda-sorta marriage to porn star Amia Miley.

"We had a Facebook marriage, which is pretty much more legitimate than a real marriage these days because if your status says 'married' there's no legal document that can ever change that," he says.

Miley was introduced to us as "Mrs. Unit" (as one colleague put it, "Awww, she took his name!"), but refused to join her husband on camera. She was apparently "cranky" this morning, explained Jonny.
