Jeremy Lin: Nike kicks it with Linsanity
If Nike had sent New York Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin a valentine, we're assuming it would have said, "We shoe-shoe-shoes you!" It was only a matter of time before sportswear suppliers jumped on the Linsanity train, and according to CounterKicks, Nike's on board. The company has reportedly created a Jeremy Lin "Linsanity" edition Zoom Hyperfuse 2011 shoe in Knicks' orange and blue for the overnight basketball sensation.
For those who've been hiding under a rock, Lin was an undrafted player from Harvard, where he got his degree in economics, who's spent more time warming the bench this season than pounding the boards. But in the last couple of weeks, he has risen to global superstar status with moves like a three-pointer against Toronto with a half-second left on the clock, beating the Raptors 90-87 -- while wearing Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011 Lows, naturally.
