Is George Lopez dead or the victim of a Twitter hoax?

Sigh. Twitter deaths are getting really, really old. This weekend, Twitter was once again overwhelmed by tweets suggesting that celebrities including Drake, Eddie Murphy, and Taylor Swift had died. LeBron James also bit the Twitter bullet, as did Rick Ross.

The latest victim? George Lopez.

The tweets are so prevalent that "RIP George Lopez" (etc.) hit the worldwide trending topics list. Fortunately, though, all of the above celebs are still alive and kicking. (For some, their careers may be headed to the grave, but not their actual bodies.)

Lopez is currently busy promoting SaveWithMango.com, a financial institution. Awesome.
