Ellen DeGeneres to debut J.C. Penney ads during Oscars

Comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has announced that five commercials of her new spokesperson gig for J.C. Penney will premiere during Sunday's (Feb. 26) Academy Awards telecast on ABC.

The ads have been controversial since their announcement because the One Million Moms organization has demanded J.C. Penney fire Ellen as their spokeswoman because Ellen is gay. You can show your support for Ellen at the GLAAD website or by tweeting your support with the hashtag #StandUpForEllen.

J.C. Penney has stood by their choice to hire Ellen. Michael Francis, J.C. Penney President, says, "We share the fundamental values as Ellen. At J.C. Penney, we couldn't think of a better partner to help us put the fun back into the retail experience."
