Ben & Jerry's Lin-sanity ice cream: Now with 100 percent less fortune cookie

Cashing in on the overnight sensation that is New York Knicks rising star Jeremy Lin, Ben & Jerry's unveiled it's new limited edition "Taste the Lin-Sanity" ice cream.But, oops, the brand had to quickly pull a batch being sold at the ice cream purveyor's Harvard Square location in Cambridge, Mass., because of complaints about the pieces of fortune cookie included in the recipe.
"Is there a compelling reason to draw a connection between Lin and fortune cookies, takeout boxes or similar imagery?" asks the Asian American Journalists Association in a new advisory. "In the majority of news coverage, the answer will be no."
The fortune cookie has since been replaced with waffle cookies, according to Gothamist.
Vanilla frozen yogurt, lychee honey swirls and waffle cookies? Sounds like a winner. Unfortunately, Lin-sanity (the ice cream) is only available at the Harvard Square location.
