See slacker Jason Segel in the 'Jeff Who Lives at Home' trailer
"Muppets" star Jason Segel and "Office" star Ed Helms play equally adrift brothers in the new movie from the Duplass brothers, "Jeff Who Lives At Home."
The first trailer was recently unleashed upon the Internet, and in it we find out that Segel's titular Jeff is a slacker still living in his mom's basement -- mom, incidentally, is played by Susan Sarandon -- while Helms' Pat is a seemingly put-together grown-up with a real job and a wife. Jeff seems like a more pathetic, less clever version of Segel's character from "I Love You Man," but we can't really get past Helms' terrible goatee to really assess his character.
When the brothers meet up (unplanned -- fate intervenes, which seems to be a big theme of the film), they grow closer as they discover Helms' wife is cheating on him. (As Vulture notes, it's like an opposite "Decendants" for Judy Greer.)
"Jeff Who Lives At Home" is directed by Mark and Jay Duplass, the mumblecore brothers behind "The Puffy Chair" and "Cyrus." The film's scheduled for a limited release on March 16, 2012.
