Report: Heather Locklear hospitalized for alcohol, prescription drugs

Heather Locklear was taken to a Southern California hospital Thursday (Jan. 12), reportedly after taking a mix of alcohol and prescription drugs.

The former "Melrose Place" star's sister called 911 Thursday afternoon, saying Locklear was in danger, TMZ reports. Paramedics and Ventura County sheriff's deputies responded, and it was determined that Locklear needed to go to the hospital.

Locklear sought treatment for a prescription-drug problem in 2010, spending 30 days in a rehab facility.

Two years before that, her doctor called 911 in fear that she had overdosed on prescription drugs. That turned out to be a false alarm.

Locklear, 50, recently ended her engagement to Jack Wagner.
