Pre-diabetic Alec Baldwin loses 30 pounds. Paula Deen, are you paying attention?

While the Queen of Butter, Paula Deen, is going to hold on to her cheeseburgers until the bitter, bitter end, "30 Rock" star Alec Baldwin took a scary medical diagnosis as a wake-up call.

A slimmed down Baldwin attended Sunday (Jan. 29) night's Screen Actors Guild Awards and picked up an Outstanding Male Actor in a TV Comedy Series statue for his role as Jack Donaghy on the NBC comedy "30 Rock."

Earlier on the red carpet he revealed to "Entertainment Tonight's" Nancy O'Dell that he was diagnosed as being pre-diabetic last May and has subsequently changed his diet. In addition to staving off the dreaded Type 2 diabetes, he's lost 30 pounds.
