Mariah Carey gets up to fix Nick Cannon soup in the middle of the night

Two weeks after leaving the hospital, where he was being treated for kidney failure, Nick Cannon accompanied wife Mariah Carey to the 2012 BET Honors in Washington D.C. on Saturday (Jan. 14).

"Look at him all strong and healthy and big and too buff for the tux ... it's incredible," Carey gushed during her Entertainer Award acceptance speech.

Having presented her the award, Cannon called his being there "a blessing" and shared an intimate story about his wife's bedside manner.

"When times are hard, you guys don't see her at 3 o'clock in the morning, getting up in the middle of the night, fixing me soup when my kidneys ain't acting right," Cannon said, "Mariah Carey does that."

Consider their mutual adoration an early Valentine. Taped last night, the 2012 BET Honors will air Monday, Feb. 13 at 9 p.m. ET.
