Maria Shriver: Engagement ring from her mother, not Arnold

Arnold Schwarzenegger and his estranged wife Maria Shriver spent Christmas in Los Angeles. The former California governor and his estranged wife celebrated the holidays -- along with their four children -- together, and later attended the L.A. Lakers' season opener.

Then Shriver was seen wearing a flashy diamond ring on ther left hand, fueling speculation that they were working out their differences. Namely, getting past the fact that Schwarzenegger had a love child with the family housekeeper.

But People reports that Shriver's ring is actually her late mother, Eunice Shriver's, engagement ring. Shriver has been wearing it in her mother's memory since Eunice Shriver's death in August of 2009.

So everyone can put away their jewelry loupes.
