Lauren Scruggs: First photos since tragic propeller accident

Model and fashion blogger Lauren Scruggs caught the attention of the world last month when she had a tragic run-in with the propeller of a small plane -- losing her left eye and her left hand, among other injuries.

After spending over a month at the Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation in Dallas, the first photos of Scruggs post-accident have emerged, thanks to "Good Morning America." There are some questions as to whether the photos are too invasive -- they show Scruggs wearing an eye patch and hiding her left arm in her sleeve.

Most notably, though, they show a woman who is walking, smiling, and, of course, still beautiful. Doctors have said that her recovery is near miraculous.

It hasn't been an easy road. "It is just plain hard to watch Lo come to grips with the fact that she has lost her hand and lost her eye," wrote her mother, Cheryl, on her website. "It's hard to hear her tears."
