Lamar Odom gets standing ovation from Lakers fans
Lamar Odom returned to the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles on Monday night, but this time, he was wearing new colors. In his first game against the Lakers with his new team, the Dallas Mavericks, all eyes were on Odom.
But while his former brother-in-law was recently named the most hated man in the NBA, Odom has maintained a good reputation -- even with die-hard Lakers fans who might have held a grudge after Odom asked to be traded.
When Lamar stepped on the court on Monday, in the middle of the fourth quarter, he got a standing ovation from Mavericks and Lakers fans alike. Even Jack Nicholson was on his feet, and later the Lakers broadcast "THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES LAMAR" on the scoreboard.
