Johnny Depp tops list of America's favorite actors

Johnny Depp may no longer be number one with his future ex-wife Vanessa Paradis, but he still has fans with the American public. Depp was just named America's favorite actor for the second year in a row.The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star topped the Harris poll, which surveyed more than 2,200 adults during early Dec. 2011. Denzel Washington and Clint Eastwood tied for second place. Tom Hanks and John Wayne wrapped up the top five.
It probably shouldn't be a huge surprise that Depp at least made it to the Top 10. His films have grossed nearly $3 billion since he first launched his big screen career in the 1984 movie "A Nightmare on Elm Street." The global take of his films tops $7.5 billion.
