Heidi Klum on divorce from Seal

No one saw this celebrity split coming. Heidi Klum has been mum about her separation from husband Seal, though he's been speaking about her very respectfully, telling Ellen Degeneres, "She has given me four incredible gifts - four beautiful children. She still, in my opinion, is the most wonderful woman in the world."  Now Heidi is breaking her silence on Twitter.

"Hi everyone, I want to thank u for all your support & kind words," Klum tweeted on Tuesday (Jan. 31). "really means so much. Thanks again...to the best fans in the world! xoHeidi.

Klum and Seal decided to part ways "after much soul-searching," they told People. "We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart." Is anyone else hoping these two work it out? We certainly are. Seal told Piers Morgan in an interview on his show, "You can never say never, obviously I can't speak for my wife," about the possibility of reconciliation.

Klum and Seal married in 2005 and have four children: Leni, 7, Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2.
