David Letterman: Bill Murray, Regis Philbin help celebrate 30 years in late night television

On "The Late Show with David Letterman" Tuesday night (Jan. 31), David Letterman celebrates his 30th anniversary of being in late night television. His guest Bill Murray is there to help - Bill was Letterman's very first guest back on Feb. 1, 1982 and then was Letterman's first guest again when he began CBS' "Late Show" on Aug. 30, 1993.

The flaming ball you see above is the cupcake Bill brings Dave - it has 30 candles on top.

Also on hand is Dave's old pal Regis Philbin. The three gentlemen take to 53rd Street outside the Ed Sullivan Theatre to kick field goals.

Happy 30th anniversary to David Letterman!
