Blake Shelton reschedules concert dates after his father dies

Country star Blake Shelton has had to reschedule a handful of concert dates after his father died.
According to the AP, "The Voice" coach's dad, Dick Shelton, died Tuesday, Jan. 17 "surrounded by loved ones in Oklahoma." Shelton is rescheduling four shows this week in North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana to March, and will head back out on the road Jan. 26 for a date in Columbus, Ga. He'll also sing the "America the Beautiful" with wife Miranda Lambert at the Super Bowl.
Shelton's dad had been sick for a while, the AP reports. The singer dedicated his December American Country Award to his father, who had been in the hospital for pneumonia.
The notorious tweeter has been silent for the past day, but his fans have tweeted their support to the singer since the bad news broke.
"The Voice" returns after the Super Bowl on Feb. 5, featuring guest mentors like Kelly Clarkson, Lambert, Lionel Richie, Jewel, Alanis Morissette, Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, Robin Thicke and Ne-Yo.
