'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' trailer released

The official trailer for "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" has been released and if you weren't already excited about this upcoming "Lord of the Rings" prequel, this trailer should have you salivating for its release.

The song sung in the trailer by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) gives us quite the sense of foreboding - anybody else? It's kind of creepy. But the movie definitely looks like it will more than live up to the big shoes the "LOTR" trilogy left.

"The Hobbit" stars Ian McKellen as Gandalf and Martin Freeman as the young Bilbo Baggins. It is due out Dec. 14, 2012, with part II coming out in 2013. Are you excited?
