Stephen Hawking ISO personal assistant

stephen-hawking-gi.jpgIf you like to travel and happen to be handy with electronics, PowerPoint and work well under pressure then Stephen Hawking -- world-renowned physics genius -- has a job for you. In a posting to Hawking's official website, the wheelchair-bound science celebrity details the position, which will be available in February 2012 and pay approximately $38,000 a year.

Hawking lives with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a disease that has left him almost completely paralyzed. He lost his real voice in a tracheotomy in 1985, but a wheelchair-mounted computer synthesizes speech for him by interpreting facial twitches.

And, reports Reuters, the computer doesn't just help Hawking with speech. It also connects to the Internet and allows him to turn on lights, watch TV, open doors and perform other routine tasks.

The ad features a photo of the back of Hawking's wheelchair with the words "Could you maintain this? If your answer is 'yes,' we'd like to hear from you!"

Also, you may get to watch "The Simpsons" with him:
