Sinead O'Connor: Wedding-night weed run doomed my marriage

Sinead O'Connor has already poured her heart out about what caused her brief, 16-day marriage to fall apart. Despite saying she wouldn't comment further about it, though, she's gone ahead and talked about it more.

Oh, Sinead.

The marriage to Barry Herridge "felt like I was living in a coffin," she says, according to the U.K.'s Sun newspaper. "It was going to be a coffin for both of us and I saw him crushed. The whole reason I ended it was out of respect and love for the man."

She reiterates her claim that outside pressure also contributed to the split, but O'Connor also says it probably wasn't a good idea to go searching for marijuana in Las Vegas after the wedding ceremony. Hindsight and all.

"We ended up in a cab in some place that was quite dangerous," O'Connor says. "I wasn't scared -- but he's a drugs counselor. What was I thinking? Then I was handed a load of crack. Barry was very frightened -- that kind of messed everything up a bit really."

Funny how that happens.
