Robert Downey Jr. rescues two kittens, is adorable about it
Sometimes attractive men do things that make them even more attractive. Bradley Cooper spoke fluent French, we lost it. Ryan Gosling broke up a flight in NYC without sleeves, we lost it.And now, Robert Downey Jr. is talking about kittens. Sigh.
Downey is on the cover of the latest Men's Fitness magazine, and along with all the usual stuff (blah, blah, "Iron Man") he gives us that warm and fuzzy feeling when he reveals that he and his wife, Susan, adopted two kittens this year.
"Eighteen months ago, I'm saying, 'I don't want any rescue pets within 100 yards of either of my residences, I'm sorry. I don't want some, like, tripod, abused animal.' I was adamantly opposed to the whole idea," he says. (Apparently, 18 months ago Downey had a cold, shriveled heart. It's okay. It gets better.)
His wife insisted, and he caved. He's basically a whole new man. "Now I couldn't imagine living without them. I've become one of those people where the Missus is like, 'They don't want to see iPhone pictures of our kittens right now. Stop it,'" he says.
We're not even cat people and we love this story.
