Rapper Slim Dunkin killed after candy argument -- report

As we reported earlier this week, rapper Slim Dunkin was murdered on Friday (Dec. 16) in an Atlanta recording studio. At the time, details were sparse -- all we knew was that Slim got into a verbal argument with a man who then shot him in the chest.

Now Atlanta's WSB-TV is reporting that the argument may have been over a piece of candy.

"The information we're getting, it's unconfirmed, but witnesses are saying this whole thing started over a piece of candy," homicide detective David Quinn tells WSB-TV.

Witnesses allegedly say that Dunkin (born Mario Hamilton) grabbed a piece of candy from another man, which led to the verbal argument, then a fistfight. Things ended when Slim was shot in the chest.

A public viewing will take place on Thursday (Dec. 22) at Atlanta's Willie A Watkins Funeral Home.
