Pauley Perrette won't marry fiance Thomas Arklie until gay marriage is legal in California

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie once told press that they weren't interested in getting married until marriage equality is a reality in the US -- though recently, their kids have pressured them to hurry it up.

"NCIS" actress Pauley Perrette, however, is sticking to her guns -- she says that she and her fiance Thomas Arklie will not tie the knot until Proposition 8, which banned gay marriage in California, is overturned.

"Me & #MyMarine are totally engaged now but will NOT GET MARRIED UNTIL #Prop8 is OVER," she wrote on Twitter. Arklie, 49, is a former British marine who is now an aspiring actor.

Perrette, a staunch supporter of the NOH8 campaign, also tweeted this photo of herself with Arklie. The 41-year-old actress was recently voted the most likable television star in a recent AP poll.

"I am honored to play one of the best characters on TV, that's a role model for young girls around the world," she tells OTRC. "I hear from people's parents, grandparents and girls themselves that the character I play, the fictional character, has encouraged them to go into math and science, which is such a blessing."
