Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter divorce finalized

"Dexter" co-stars Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter announced they were divorcing almost a year ago to the day. Now on Tuesday (Dec. 6), the divorce is finalized, the Washington Post confirms.

The pair eloped on New Year's Eve 2008 and then Carpenter was the one who filed for divorce on Dec. 13, 2010. The reason cited was "irreconcilable differences." The court documents also say the details of the division of property will stay private.

Hall and Carpenter have co-starred as brother and sister Dexter and Debra Morgan on Showtime's "Dexter" since 2006. The show is currently in its sixth season and Showtime just renewed it for two more seasons, so barring serial killer Dexter killing Debra off, Hall and Carpenter will be working together for awhile longer.
